What are your items made of?
All metal findings used in my creations except the charms are stainless steel. All the charms are coated with Everbrite ProtectaClear coating which means that it is safe for people with metal allergies, and will not tarnish. The only exceptions are the brooches, collar pins and hair barrettes. Those are silver plated brass and cannot be coated with the anti-tarnish coating due to the moving parts. Electroformed items are made with copper, and also coated with Everbrite ProtectaClear coating to make them allergy safe and prevent tarnishing.

Can I order this item in a different colour or change the design slightly?
Absolutely! Ayame Designs strives to create pieces that can be worn by everyone. This is why I offer so many customisation options such as colour, earring attachments, etc. If you want a customisation that is not already listed on the product listing, such as a different length, simply add a note with your order with your request. If you would like the design altered in a different way, contact me before ordering to ensure that this is possible.
I lost one of my earrings! Can I order just one earring to have a pair again?
Absolutely! You can use the coupon code ONEEARRINGONLY at checkout if you need to order only one earring for any reason. You can also do this if you want to order mismatched earrings (add the two different pairs to cart and apply the coupon code, so you will only get one of each earring).
Do you do gift wrapping?
Absolutely! Leave a note with your order if you are buying a gift for someone and would like it giftwrapped. You can also let me know what you would like written as the note with the package.
Can I shop in my country's currency?
Yes! Simply select your currency from the drop-down list in the shop section. If your currency isn't listed, don't worry! Just contact me asking for your currency to be added and I will add it for you within 24 hours.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes! Ayame Designs ships worldwide.
Where are you based and can I collect my order?
Ayame Designs is based in Gent, Belgium. If you would like to collect your order from me, send us an email and we can arrange collection in Gent, or at an event where Ayame Designs is exhibiting. You are welcome to collect if arranged before ordering.
Which events will you be at?
The Events page is always kept up to date with the events Ayame Designs will be selling at.
How long does it take for my order(s) to ship?
If your item(s) are in stock, they will be shipped within 4 working days. If the items need to be made to order, please note that it can take up to 14 days to make your order depending on the item(s) ordered (exceptions will have this mentioned in the description). Larger orders such as custom sized body chains may take longer, but you will be kept updated.
How much does delivery cost and how long does it take?
Ayame Designs offers free standard shipping within the EU, standard shipping for 3 euros to the rest of Europe, and tracked shipping for 9 euros to the rest of the world. Buyers in Europe can also choose the tracked shipping option at checkout (recommended).
Larger items like body chains that cannot be sent in padded envelopes have a higher shipping cost outside of the EU. If you live outside of the European continent or the USA, please contact me before ordering the items that have the large item warning in the description so that I can check what the most affordable shipping method is to your country.
All orders are sent with BPost, except for the larger item orders to the USA, which are sent with UPS.
Unfortunately I have no control over how long an order takes to be delivered once it has been sent.
My order hasn't arrived, what should I do?
If you have tracked shipping, first check the tracking updates to see when it was last scanned. You should contact your local postal company to enquire about delivery times if it is already in your country.
If you don't have tracked shipping, contact me and I will see what I can do. Each request will be handled by a case by case basis depending on the situation but I will do my best to ensure that you get your items! If you don't want to risk your items not arriving and having no tracking information, please pay for the tracked shipping option.
What about customs fees?
The buyer is responsible for any customs fees on orders. By law it is required for all packages sent outside of the EU from Belgium to have a customs declaration included and no exceptions can be made. Please check your country's customs laws if you want to ensure that your order total is under the amount which will incur customs fees.
What if I'm not 100% satisfied with my order?
Ayame Designs does not give refunds for any wrong items ordered, but will gladly exchange or fix items if they are not of excellent quality. I take great pride in my creations but sometimes I make mistakes. Take a look at the Returns, Exchanges & Refunds for more information.
Can I borrow some items for a photoshoot?
Yes! You are more than welcome to borrow items for photoshoots, provided that you return the items in the condition you received them and provide me with the photos so that I can also post them online. You will need to sign a loan agreement in order to loan any items for a shoot. If you would like to do this, just send an email to email@example.com
Can I get free items / discount if I am a model / promotor, etc?
